Any particular issues with the voice acting? I’m just excited to hear that Cyclops is played by Ray Chase, who voices a lot of characters I love in video games. He voices Alphen in ‘Tales of Arise’.
It just doesn’t… fit. This is opinion of course. I remember watching the original live action X-men movies and thinking how great the casting was. James Marsden sounds like Cyclops, Hugh Jackman sounds like the voice in my head was for Logan. Whoever this is, doesn’t. All opinions, though.
Sure, makes sense it is your opinion. My first exposure to X-Men was the animated cartoon in the 90s, and then the first X-Men movie. In my head, X-Men characters sound like the 90s cartoon to me, and Wolverine will always say ‘bub’. When I read the comics, it’s the 90’s cartoon voices I hear.
It’s like the whole Batman thing: the voice of Batman in my head will always be Kevin Conroy, while for others it could be Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, et al. RIP Kevin Conroy, the legend.
Yea, I admit it’s odd, especially since the 90s cartoon were my first exposure to them with sound, too. Maybe it was the gap between them and the movie that “reset” me.
The voice acting. Hmm…
